Pouches At The Pumpkin Patch

Posted on October 30, 2012 by Maggie Crawford | 0 Comments

Here is darling Evie Dean (one year) and her mom Stephanie at the Ganyard Hill pumpkin patch in Durham, North Carolina. Evie is obviously spoiled – she had two pouches on hand that day! One was yogurt and one was lentils (she likes all sorts of different foods). Thanks so much to grandparents Sandi and Dominic for sharing!

Fall Means Fresh Apples and Homemade Applesauce

Posted on October 25, 2012 by Maggie Crawford | 0 Comments

Kristin Grages of Manchester, New Hampshire shared this shot of her 11 month old Alex enjoying his new Little Green Pouch. Kristin says he loves it, and she loves the money she’s saving buying fewer pouches.  What’s he eating? That day the pouch had homemade applesauce with banana purée – Alex’s favorite combo to date. They picked up the apples at the farm stand in her hometown when they got Alex's first Halloween pumpkin. Maybe a pumpkin puree next?

Win 3 Free 4-Packs (And Be Featured On Our Website For Years To Come)!

We are throwing our first online contest!!

We are working on a page of frequently asked questions. One that often comes up is, how do I best open the pouch the very first time? We found that if you (1) screw off the cap while the pouch is still sealed and (2) blow through the nozzle, the pouch takes its perfect, supple shape quite easily.

We think a video would work best for explaining what we mean. The two of us have rho-sham-boed repeatedly, but somehow no one ever comes away being responsible for this video.

So we thought we'd reach out to you to see if you might be the one for the job. If we select your video, you'll be rewarded with 3 4-packs of Little Green Pouches AND that fame and fortune that can only be reached by means of the world wide web.

To enter the contest simply post your best video demonstration to our facebook page by November 11 (our 1 month anniversary!!).

Ghee Treat

Aleishall Girard Maxon, of Berkeley, California, sent us these great pictures of her daughter Matiz enjoying her little green pouches.

When I commented on how cute Matiz was, Aleishall said “she would look happier but she was so busy sucking down her lunch she couldn't smile :)”  Turns out Matiz was having sweet potatoes, carrots and kale mixed with Aleishall’s own product, Ancient Organics Ghee, which is a premium cooking oil made from butter from Straus Creamery. Aleishall says it is “[f]illed with not only fantastic health benefits but also a caramelized sweet taste that kids go crazy for. We drizzle it over rice and veggies, bake with it instead of butter, stir it into oatmeal and my girls even ask for it by the spoonful!” Sounds amazing to me. Thanks so much for the pictures Aleishall!

“Best Invention Ever” – Carissa, of Sarasota Florida

Posted on October 16, 2012 by Melissa Winn | 0 Comments

Mom Carissa was sweet enough to send us a picture of her darling Lily enjoying her new Little Green Pouch.

We were so excited to get her email, and to see our reusable food pouch in action.  Carissa says Lily “absolutely LOVES the pouches!” and that “she gets so excited whenever the pouch is heading her way.”

Thanks so much for the great picture, and for your support Carissa. You made our day.
