Slow Cooker Pumpkin Oatmeal

When to introduce: 6+ months without spices, 8 months with spices (check with your pediatrician)

Stars:  Oats are high in fiber, calcium, protein and even some B vitamins. Pumpkin is high in Vitamin A and beta carotene.

3 cups water
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup pumpkin purée
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspon ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1. Add all ingredients to crock pot

2. Cook on low overnight for 8 hours

3. Puree if needed to desired consistency for your baby


Servings: Fills approximately 6-8 Pouches

Sara – regular rolled oats will work just fine.

the printable recipe is for stew but I see the ingredient and directions are for the pumpkin oatmeal. Thanks! And thanks for getting back to me. Carolyn
