When to Introduce: 6-8 months

Stars: Pears are naturally quite sweet and very smooth when puréed  – making them a great addition to any fruit puree.  Plums have a mild laxative effect so they are not recommended as a food introduced in the first 6 months.

1 1/2 pounds pears, washed, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch pieces

1 1/2 pounds ripe plums, pitted and quartered

Directions:  Wash, peel, core and cut pears into 1-inch pieces.  Wash, pit and quarter the plums. Simmer the pears and plums with ½ cup water until very tender. Drain; reserve cooking liquid. Working in small batches, blend the fruit until smooth in a blender or food processor, adding the reserved cooking water if needed.

Servings: Fills a bunch of Little Green Pouches :)

Notes: Will keep for up to 2 days in the refrigerator or even longer in the freezer.
