When to Introduce: 12 months plus
Stars: Raspberries contain significant amounts of antioxidants and have one of the highest fiber contents of any fruit. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene and are said to have cancer preventing and anti-aging properties.
2/3 cup raspberries
1/4 - 1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup carrots
Directions: Peel and chop carrots. Steam them in a vegetable steamer until tender. Drain. (Or, use leftover cooked carrots from the night before). Place carrots, raspberries and ¼ cup apple juice in a food processor or blender. Puree until smooth, adding additional juice if necessary.
