Beef Stew for Baby

When to introduce: 8-10 months (check with your pediatrician)

Stars: Carrots are very high in beta carotene, easy to digest and are packed full of nutrients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Calcium. Beef is high in protein and iron.

Ingredients:
1/2 pound beef sirloin, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup cannelini beans, drained and rinsed
2 teaspoons coconut oil
1/4 small onion, chopped
carrot, peeled and chopped into 2 inch pieces
1 celery stalk, chopped into 1 inch pieces
1 medium potato, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes (you can use any kind of potato you prefer)
2 cups water
Directions:

1. Add all ingredients to crock pot (if you have time, brown the beef in a heavy bottomed pan before. 

2. Cook on high for 4-6 hours

3. Puree to desired consistency and fill pouches

 

Servings: Fills approximately 6 Pouches
