Author: Catherine from makingmealtime

When to introduce: 6 months (check with your pediatrician)

Stars: Pumpkins are jam-packed full of some of the best nutritional compounds around. They are high in Vitamin A and beta carotene and are also good sources of potassium, protein, and iron. Apples contain two types of fiber; insoluble fiber and soluble fiber. Both the insoluble fiber in apples and their soluble fiber pectin, help maintain bowel regularity.

Ingredients:

1 cup organic canned pumpkin
3 cups applesauce
cinnamon (to taste)

Directions:
    1. Mix 3 cups applesauce to 1 cup pumpkin puree. Add cinnamon to taste.
    2. This can be made in any quantity. Freeze any extra in Little Green Pouches or ice cube trays. When ready to use, put 3-4 frozen cubes into the reusable pouch and let thaw in the refrigerator.

Servings: Fills approximately 4-5 Pouches
